Hey you guys! We're very happy to announce two new workshops, the next being on the horizon already, September 6th here in the Chew Valley. If you're based near Bristol or Bath, it's a short drive, the nearest village being West Harptree. Please use the contact form for more details.

The workshop itself will be a half-day, from one p.m. through to five, and will have limited numbers. Three spaces have already been snapped up, so please email quickly if you want a spot! 😁

The second workshop will be a weekend in November, set once again at the Gloucester Resource Centre. Sifu Lyndon Oudsten will be running this workshop (and three of us will be there assisting) so this is a brilliant opportunity to work with the head of Yan Shou Gong Europe, right here in the West Country.

I had a great time in Stroud yesterday, dropping in to check out Malcolm and Paul's lesson, and was lucky enough to catch Richard McEvoy from Bangor there, too. I myself started learning Yan Shou Gong online, and when I met Master Yap for the first time in person, it was Richard that hosted him in Northern Ireland.

It was lovely meeting a couple of the guys that train Yan Shou Gong regularly in Stroud, and seeing how enthusiastic they are about this precious art. If you ever want to visit, the first class is free and details of the times and locations are on the main Yan Shou Gong UK website.

A few days ago, back on the 12th, a workshop was held in Gloucester with instructors Paul Wilson and Malcolm Holmes. I'm glad to say it went very well (at least in my estimation), 😂 and hope that everyone that attended found our teaching, advice or guidance to be helpful.

We worked through the structure of the strings, went over some nice qigong exercises and spent some extra time going through forms two, three and four.

The first form, All Things Come From Emptiness, is absolutely crucial for development, but sometimes it's nice to branch out a little into the other forms for those that are familiar with it already.

It was great for me to see familiar faces there from the last time we had a workshop in Gloucester with Brandon, and even one of the guys that attended the workshop with Sifu Lyndon in Glastonbury back in March.

There was also a student in attendance that I hadn't met before, and it's always so nice to see more people getting into Yan Shou Gong. With time I'm sure our community will grow more and more, and I'm very grateful to Paul and Malcolm for inviting me to teach at their seminar.

The students were a pleasure to work with, and I'm sure there will be another workshop soon where I'll see all of you again. 🙏
